Since 2005, I've represented tech startups on just about every kind of problem, transaction or opportunity that a high-growth company encounters on its journey.
What inspires you about working with tech companies?
Our clients constantly challenge and surprise me. What was once a source of stress is now (mostly) an inspiration.
If you weren't a tech lawyer, what would you do?
Based on the magnitude of the loans I took out for law school, probably a different kind of lawyer.
What do you consider the best innovation since the internet?
Depending on when you pinpoint the invention of the internet, either the NBA 3-point shot or the sequencing of the human genome.
If you could choose one superpower, what would it be?
To play guitar like Trey from Phish.
What's the best advice you've ever received?
Don't go to grad school. My colleagues at my first post-collegiate job were refugees from academia, and when I told them I was planning to get an English Ph.D. they made it their mission to change my mind.
