Our Career Associate program offers top legal talent an alternative to the partner track while still providing opportunities to do cutting-edge legal work for the world’s leading companies. Lawyers join us as Career Associates at many stages, from recent graduates and participants in our Career Associate summer program, to more senior lawyers who join after practicing in other settings. 

These are rewarding roles if you share our passion for practicing law and delivering excellent service but seek a less intense time commitment. Or perhaps you enjoy focusing on specific legal tasks like sophisticated research, complex due diligence or drafting.

Career Associate positions are available in many of our offices, with the greatest number based at our Global Operations & Innovation Center in Wheeling, W.V. Career Associates are full members of practice groups and fully integrated into our client teams. Eighteen of our practice groups currently have Career Associate roles, including Technology Companies, Intellectual Property, Employment Law, Public Policy, Energy & Infrastructure, Public Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions.

As a fully integrated member of our global team, you will enjoy resources available to all of our associates, including technical skills training, business and leadership skills academies, participation in Business Unit retreats, performance feedback, career coaching, and mentoring.
