Orrick Advises Macquarie Infrastructure Partners II and Skanska Infrastructure Development on Divestment of Elizabeth River Crossings

December.30.2020

We advised Macquarie Infrastructure Partners II (MIP II) and Skanska Infrastructure Development (Skanska) in the divestiture of their respective interests in Elizabeth River Crossings (ERC) as part of a full sale of ERC to a special-purpose vehicle owned by Abertis Infraestructuras and Manulife Investment Management. As a result, Abertis will operate and maintain the Downtown and Midtown tunnels in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia, which provide a vital transportation link between Norfolk and Portsmouth, as well as the MLK Expressway and approximately 51 miles of highway. The sale closed on December 30, 2020.
