Gil's practice focuses on innovative offtake agreements for leading energy developers and corporate buyers worldwide, having successfully negotiated gigawatts of agreements across a range of technologies.

With over a decade of experience advising on transactions in the solar, wind, energy storage and biofuel sectors, he advises clients on a wide range of offtake contract structures, including physical and virtual power purchase agreements, tolling agreements, REC and environmental attribute purchase agreements, revenue share agreements and other innovative contract arrangements.

He has extensive experience identifying and navigating key financing considerations in offtake arrangements. Gil understands the legal and commercial challenges facing industry stakeholders and focuses on finding creative solutions to successfully close transactions.

Gil is deeply committed to decarbonization and advancing the energy transition. He was previously a Clean Energy Leadership Institute Fellow and a participant in the Climate Wisdom Fellowship. Before practicing law, Gil consulted for the World Bank in Kigali, Rwanda.

    • Representation of leading project developers on GWs of power purchase agreements, tolling agreements and related offtake arrangements for a range of utility-scale solar, wind, stand-alone storage and hybrid projects (e.g., solar-plus-storage) with a variety of buyers, including investor-owned utilities, CCAs, corporates, hedge providers and others across the United States.
    • Representation of a large corporate buyer in connection with a portfolio of virtual power purchase agreements and environmental attribute purchase agreements to procure renewable energy credits and achieve sustainability goals.  
    • Representation of multiple battery energy storage developers in connection with tolling agreements, revenue share agreements and other bespoke offtake arrangements.  
    • Representation of a global energy developer in connection with a contract for differences for commercial and industrial rooftop solar projects.
    • Representation of a global energy developer in connection with a battery storage project in Sub-Saharan Africa.
