Pietro Fazzini, a managing associate in the Milan office, is a member of the Corporate Group

Pietro has a specific experience in M&A transactions as well as in other complex corporate transactions and a notable experience in capital markets transactions (IPOs, rights issues and bond issues). In this field, he advised both private and public Italian and foreign companies, in relation to national and multi-jurisdictional transactions. He also has a significant experience in advising corporate boards and shareholders of large companies on various corporate governance issues (including, inter alia, regulatory issues, related-party transactions, investor relations, proxy voting, etc.).

His activity is focused on corporate matters and corporate governance (with a specific expertise in listed companies’ regulatory framework and market abuse). Having worked also at a notary public firm, Pietro is also knowledgeable about companies’ set up, managing family business succession plans, and real estate transactions.

Pietro has authored several publications in the fields of corporate law and corporate governance.

Pietro is currently a Ph.D. candidate (2020) in corporate law at Università degli Studi di Milano. During the last year of his Ph.D., Pietro spent a semester as visiting researcher at Yale Law School (2019-2020). Since 2016 Pietro is also a teaching assistant in company law and advanced company law at Bocconi University.

Before graduating cum laude at Bocconi University in Milan, Pietro spent a semester abroad at UC Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, CA, USA (Aug-Dec 2011) as exchange student, earning the “Excellence of the Future” award, and was a visiting student at UC Berkeley, Boalt School of Law (2010) and the London School of Economics (2012).

Before joining Orrick, Pietro has worked in the Milan office of a major international law firm and at a notary public firm specialized in corporate matters.
