July.16.2015

Orrick was recognized by Intellectual Asset Management’s 2015 IAM Patent 1000 as a leading firm in the California, New York, China, Japan and International regions. Eight lawyers were named as leading practitioners, including Joseph Calvaruso, David Case, Alex Chachkes, Neel Chatterjee, Joshua Rosenkranz, Steve Routh, Nagendra Setty and Xiang Wang.

Internationally, Orrick is known to “pack a punch in high-stakes cases”; the firm joins the Japan listings for the first time this year and earned a “Gold” rating in China. In California, IAM Patent 1000 notes Orrick’s “rapid response force of first-chair trial lawyers”; recognizes Orrick as “a perennial frontrunner in some of the most closely followed litigations taking place at any given time”; and highlights Orrick’s “collegiate approach [which] ensures that it performs effectively in a quarterback role on sprawling cases in which several firms are involved.” Noted as “home to some of the best patent lawyers in Asia” and as being “hailed across Asia-Pacific for its mastery of electronics in particular,” Orrick ranked in the “Gold Band” (i.e. Band 1) in the China Foreign Firm category for the third consecutive year.
