  • Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) on its partnership with Amberside Energy for the development of 2 GW + of solar PV, battery storage and solar PV with co-located battery storage projects in the UK. As part of the partnership, CIP will provide a development loan to Amberside to enable the development of the solar PV, battery storage and solar PV with co-located battery storage projects.
  • A major infrastructure fund on its participation with a developer in Scotland to develop a synchronous condenser, situated at the onshore substation of an offshore wind farm off the coast of Scotland which will help to solve insufficient Short Circuit Levels on the electricity system and provide a "green" form of inertia to help keep the electricity system stable, such as after a rare trip at a large power station.
  • A leading renewable energy developer on the sale of a 49% stake in three development stage offshore wind projects in Sweden to Ingka Investments. The projects – Galatea-Galene, located off the coast of Halland, Triton, located off the coast of Skåne and Aurora, located off the coast of Gotland and Öland – have the potential to reach an aggregate installed capacity of 9 GW and to produce up to 38 TWh combined, once operational, corresponding to more than 25% of the electricity consumed in Sweden in 2021.
  • Sustainable Development Capital LLP on its agreement to acquire the entire issued share capital of United Renewable Energy Limited (‘UURE’) from United Utilities Group for approximately £100 million. UURE is the owner of a portfolio of 70 operational renewable energy assets comprising (i) ground mounted, rooftop and floating solar projects, (ii) onshore wind, and (iii) a hydro-electric project which provide renewable energy generated on-site directly to the end-user, United Utilities Water Limited, to provide power to critical water infrastructure.
  • Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) on its partnership with Bute Energy (Bute). As part of the transaction, CIP’s flagship fund Copenhagen Infrastructure IV K/S will invest in Bute’s portfolio of onshore wind farms and solar PV projects, some with co-located battery energy storage systems, under development in Wales, UK. The Bute portfolio consists of projects at various stages of development and is expected to have a total installed capacity of over 2GW by 2030.
  • A developer in relation to English law aspects of a certain construction packages in relation to a floating wind farm.
  • A developer in relation to the drafting and negotiation of pre-FEED appointments for the development of two floating wind farms.
  • Multiple developers in relation to the drafting and negotiation of EPCs and O&Ms for three battery storage projects in Scotland, England and Ireland.
  • A developer in relation to the drafting and negotiation of an EPC for the construction of an energy from waste plant in the UK.
  • A developer in relation to the drafting and negotiation of two FIDIC silver book contracts in relation to a private wire connection to a commercial site.
  • A contractor in relation to the English law aspects of a pipeline supply contract for the construction of a power plant in Bangladesh.
  • A Danish pension fund in relation to its acquisition, together with Macquarie, of an equity interest in the Teeside biomass project in the UK.
  • Race Bank Wind Farm Limited (a joint venture between Ørsted, Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund, a fund established by Sumitomo Corporation, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Development Bank of Japan, and Arjun Infrastructure Partners and Gravis Capital Management) on the construction aspects of its £472.5 million sale of transmission system assets relating to the 573 MW Race Bank offshore wind farm to Diamond Transmission Partners, representing the largest OFTO transaction by value at the time of closing.
  • Multiple developers including, ScottishPower Renewables, SSE, Marubeni Corporation, UK Green Investment Bank Plc, Centrica, PKA and KIRKBI A/S in relation to construction aspects of the divestment of their respective interests in the offshore transmission assets for multiple UK offshore wind farm projects as part of the offshore transmission asset disposal regime regulated by Ofgem.
  • Burbo Extension Ltd, a consortium of Ørsted A/S (previously DONG Energy A/S), Danish pension provider PKA and KIRKBI A/S, on the sale of transmission assets valued at approximately £193 million to Diamond Transmission Partners BBE Limited pursuant to the OFTO regime.
  • Statkraft on the sale of (i) its 40% stake in the 317 MW Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm to the UK fund manager Equitix for a value of £558 million and (ii) a 30% share in the 402 MW Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm to a consortium led by China Resources (Holdings) Company Ltd, a state-owned Chinese enterprise, for a value of £555 million.
  • Ørsted on its sale of a 50% stake in the 258 MW Burbo Bank Extension UK offshore wind farm project to Danish pension provider PKA and KIRKBI A/S, parent company of the LEGO Group.
  • Vortex on the construction aspects of its c.£470m acquisition of 365 MW UK Solar PV portfolio from TerraForm Power. Comprising 24 operational assets, one of the UK's largest solar PV portfolios.
