Orrick recently advised Nexa3D, the polymer 3D printing company, on its acquisition of Addifab, a Danish company which owns freeform injection molding technology. The acquisition follows a year of successful go-to-market collaboration between the two companies in North America and EMEA.

This solution combines Nexa3D’s ultrafast 3D printers with Addifab’s high-impact, high-temperature soluble resins to print complex tools that are compatible with any injection molding feedstock, thereby delivering complex tooling at a fraction of the cost and time of other 3D printers or conventional tooling processes.

The deal team was led by partners Aria Kashefi and Katie Cotton, supported by Katrina Walsingham, Andrew Kang, Ethan Dowling, Robert Moore, Erica Kaiser, Tom Allen, Lucy Mann, Seojung Park, Jonathan Rosen, Nick Villalta, Zach Huey, Stacy Kray, Natasha Ahmed, Vincent Lim, Jeanine McGuinness, Michael Yang and Dolph Hellman.
