Français: Orrick conseille Lactalis dans le cadre de l'acquisition de Protein Works
Lactalis, a French family-owned business and the world’s leading dairy company, has acquired Protein Works, a UK-based specialist in active nutrition products, an investment of YFM Equity Partners.
Orrick advised Lactalis on the transaction.
Protein Works is a leading UK brand in active nutrition, offering protein shakes, meal replacements, wellness supplements and snacks. Operating a fully integrated model, with products manufactured at its Liverpool facility and distributed through a direct-to-consumer online channel, the company has established a solid market position in the UK and is operating across key European countries, including Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Ireland, Belgium, and Italy.
Lactalis, founded in Laval, France, is present in over 50 countries worldwide.
This acquisition marks a new step in Lactalis’ strategy to strengthen its footprint in the fast-growing active nutrition segment.
The cross-border Orrick team is led by Shawn Atkinson and Alexis Marraud des Grottes, with support from Chimène Faurant, Simon Folley, Antoine Ciolfi, Charles Sheldon, Felicity Blackburn, Heather Hanlon, Emily Coyne, Maïmouna Diakite, James Edwards, Gilbert Harrold, and Thomas Seward.
