Orrick advised VR Equitypartner GmbH on the acquisition of a majority share in Auto-Pflege-Zentrum, Germany's largest nationwide provider of vehicle preparation services, from TÜV SÜD AG.
Auto-Pflege-Zentrum (APZ) is focused on the reprocessing of used and new vehicles, SMART Repair, vehicle logistics and other services for major customers, including nationwide operating car dealerships, manufacturer-owned branches and OEMs in Germany, Austria and Luxembourg. In Germany, APZ owns 14 service centers and is active through team partners at more than 200 other locations, generating an annual turnover of approximately €50 million.
VR Equitypartner is a leading German private equity financer. As a subsidiary of DZ Bank, VR Equitypartner is focused on family-owned medium-sized companies and has a portfolio comprising about 100 investments.
