Our next Total Access Japan Series, co-organized by the Washington State Department of Commerce, SWAN Venture Group, and the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will be hosting the 2022 Washington State Cleantech Mission to Japan – Online Pitch Event, featuring nine cutting-edge startups based in the Seattle area that develop innovations related to climate change. Brian Young, expert from the Washington State, Kentaro Nagao from the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jim Reed from SWAN Venture Group, as well as Hiroki Sugita and Sakon Kuramoto from the Tokyo office, both with experience related to SDGs and ESG, will also discuss on how to collaborate with startups and handle SDGs and ESG.

This pitch event is related to the Japan Seattle AI Innovation Meetup series led by Tetsuro Eto, Japan representative of the Washington State Department of Commerce in the United States and partner of SWAN Venture Group, facilitating the match-making of cutting-edge innovators with Japanese corporations. The series, co-sponsored by Orrick’s Seattle office, has been taking place since 2016 in various locations including Seattle Tokyo and Osaka. A number of alliances were born as a result of this series, including eight Seattle-based startups and three medium/large-sized companies opening offices in Japan.
