Employment partner Jill Rosenberg will be participating in PLI’s Social Media 2017: Addressing Corporate Risks. It is quite evident that Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and many more social media platforms are transforming not only the daily lives of consumers but also how companies interact with consumers; along with this transformation come challenging new legal issues. Aimed at both in-house and outside counsel, as well as, business professionals who need to be on the cutting edge of the legal issues surrounding corporate use of social media, this program takes a look at the new legal issues and how to mitigate risk. Our speakers will provide insight regarding how social media is creating new business opportunities – and new legal risks – for business, the rise of online contractual eco-systems, identifying risks and minimizing liability, legal hurdles and solutions in making marketing uses of user-generated content, native advertising (hashtags and other social media advertising issues), geo-location tracking, and furthermore internet-based advertising and other privacy-related developments. Plus, our panelists will discuss best practices for staying out of trouble with social media and mobile apps, address hot issues and emerging trends, as well as, provide creative solutions to the previously mentioned issues.

She represents a broad range of companies, including employers in the securities industry, banks and financial institutions, accounting firms, law firms, and employers in the technology and media industries. Jill also has particular proficiency in the representation of nonprofit entities, including colleges, universities, hospitals, foundations and cultural institutions.

She designs and conducts training programs for clients and frequently speaks on employment law issues for employer and bar association groups such as National Employment Law Institute, Practising Law Institute, National Association of College and University Attorneys and the New York State Bar Association.
