Orrick Adds Leading Energy M&A Lawyer in Düsseldorf

• Werner Brickwedde joins Orrick from Eversheds Sunderland, where he was Head of the Corporate/M&A practice in Germany.
• Werner advises companies and investors in the energy and infrastructure sector on M&A, national and cross-border transactions, joint ventures and general corporate law, as well a variety of project development matters.
• He is the 10th lateral partner addition to Orrick’s global energy platform since 2022.

In addition to his energy M&A work, Werner has expertise in project development matters – including O&M, shared facilities and offtake/marketing. He has extensive experience with offshore wind projects – and joins an Orrick team that advised on offshore wind transactions in 15 jurisdictions, including virtually all the countries in Europe that are exploring or installing offshore wind projects.
