Orrick Launches Véronique Roualet Award: Diane von Furstenberg to Host the Event

February.24.2017

Our partner, colleague and friend Véronique Roualet, who passed away a year ago after a long and courageous battle with cancer, embodied courage, tenacity and hard work. In her memory, Orrick Rambaud Martel will host the inaugural Véronique Roualet Award ceremony on March 8, which, fittingly, is also International Women’s Day. This award is a testament to the courage and enterprising spirit of women who are battling serious illnesses.

A jury of female lawyers, corporate legal counsel and members of the legal community will present the inaugural award. They will recognize three associations for their work in improving the lives of women who are facing serious illness. Diane von Furstenberg, a leading figure in the fashion world and longtime advocate for women worldwide, will host the event at her flagship store, located at 29, rue François 1er, 75008 Paris, at 8:30 a.m.

One of the founders of Orrick’s Paris office, Véronique was a skilled corporate advisor. She had an elegance, a warmth, an integrity and a sense of humor that we will always remember. Her legacy lives on with this award, which pays tribute to her professional accomplishments, her commitment to gender diversity and equality, and her determination to make a difference in the community.
