Ms. Coats, resident in the San Francisco office, is a member of the employment law group. Orrick’s Employment Law and Litigation group was recently named Labor & Employment Department of the Year in California by The Recorder, the premier source for legal news, in recognition of their significant wins on behalf of leading multinational companies on today’s most complex and challenging employment law matters.

Ms. Coat’s practice focuses on representing and advising employers in a broad range of labor and employment law matters, including state and federal antidiscrimination and leave laws, wage and hour compliance and employment-related torts and contracts. Ms. Coats has represented her clients at every stage of litigation, from the demand phase, government investigations and law and motion practice to mediation and jury trial.

Before joining Orrick, Ms. Coats was an associate in Heller Ehrman’s San Francisco office.
