With the competitive advantages of Corporate Venture Capital (CVC), a prominent method of enabling the collaboration between corporations and startups, the number of Japanese companies expanding abroad have been on the rise despite the pandemic.

The webinar on the same topic which took place last year, gathered a large audience who received valuable information and advice from guest speakers at the forefront of CVCs. The speakers discussed the management of CVCs and the challenges they faced, as well as future prospects, and illustrated each case with their own experiences (please click here for the materials and recording of our past session).

This session, a sequel to last year’s event, will be presented by Joseph Perkins, partner in our Silicon Valley office who will be visiting Tokyo; Hiroki Sugita, partner in our Tokyo Office, and Dennis Liu, Managing Director of Tech Clients in our Silicon Valley office who has experience building and leading CVC efforts for a U.S. Automotive OEM, and will thoroughly discuss what we’re seeing in the market and related challenges faced by CVC investors.
