Orrick senior associate Alex Stathopoulos has been appointed to a 3-year voting term on the Labor & Employment Executive Committee for the California Lawyers Association (CLA). Alex will serve as an active member of the Executive Committee, and in that capacity, will help contribute to CLA’s mission of providing leadership and extraordinary continuing legal education to the legal profession in the state of California.

Prior to her appointment to the CLA Labor & Employment Executive Committee, Alex served for two years as the Section Liaison between the California Young Lawyers Association (CYLA) and the CLA Labor & Employment Section. In that role, she helped plan and was a presenter at the Section’s annual Employment Law 101 Conference, helped plan the annual Wage & Hour Conference, and contributed to the CLA Labor & Employment Law Review as an editor and contributor.

“I am honored to have been appointed for a 3-year voting term on the Labor & Employment Executive Committee and look forward to working alongside such a distinguished and service-oriented group of employment law professionals. I am looking forward to continuing to support the Section’s activities, events, and publications, and to create opportunities for women, minorities, and others to become more involved in the Labor and Employment Section,” said Alex.

Alex focuses her practice on representing employers in high-stakes wage and hour class actions and single- and multi-plaintiff cases, and on counseling clients through a variety of challenging employment law matters, including how to navigate the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. She is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, and the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
