Orrick Advises Beyond Meat on $240.6 Million IPO

Orrick advised Beyond Meat on its $240.6 million initial public offering of 9.625 million shares of common stock. The offering priced at $25.00 per share and began trading today on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker symbol “BYND.”

In addition, Beyond Meat has granted underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to 1,443,750 additional shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any, at the initial public offering price less underwriting discounts and commissions. The offering is expected to close on May 6, 2019, subject to customary closing conditions.

California-based Beyond Meat creates plant-based meat products including the Beyond Burger. Goldman Sachs & Co., J.P. Morgan and Credit Suisse are serving as lead book-running managers for the offering. BofA Merrill Lynch and Jefferies are also acting as book-running managers, and William Blair is acting as co-manager for the offering.
