Orrick Associate Named to California Pay Equity Task Force

Congratulations to Orrick employment law associate Jessica James on her appointment to the California Pay Equity Task Force. Created by the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, the task force aims to engage employers and employees in dialogue on the gender pay gap and the implementation of California’s Fair Pay Act. Jessica will be working with her fellow members to create practical, thorough and widely applicable guidelines for proactive compliance.

Jessica is a member of Orrick’s Employment Law & Litigation Group, which has been recognized as California Labor & Employment Department of the Year by ALM’s The Recorder for four consecutive years. Prior to joining Orrick, Jessica served for two years as a judicial clerk for the Nevada Supreme Court. She earned her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the McGeorge Law Review and graduated Order of the Coif.
