Deutsch: Orrick für JUVE Award „Kanzlei des Jahres für Dispute Resolution“ nominiert
Congratulations to our German team on being nominated for the JUVE Law Firm of the Year Award for Dispute Resolution. Each year, German legal market publisher JUVE nominates five law firms each in 15 categories for their prestigious awards. The winners will be announced at the end of October, shortly before the publication of the 2020/2021 JUVE guide to law firms in Germany.
In the past twelve months, we have represented Federal Republic of Germany in high-profile arbitration proceedings concerning the failed car toll project, with more than half a billion Euros in stake. In addition, our team successfully quashed an arbitral award in an international plant construction dispute in the energy & infrastructure sector before the Federal Supreme Court. While such a reversal is a rarity, the team also obtained the reversal of another arbitral award in a high-volume dispute in connection with the purchase of a company that later became insolvent. Most recently, the team secured an important victory for a rapidly expanding tech company in a high-profile arbitration related to an acquisition in the life sciences / biotechnology sector.
