Martina advises clients in national and cross-border disputes before state courts and in arbitration proceedings.
She has particular experience in representing Asian clients from the automotive sector in DIS arbitration proceedings. Clients benefit from her background as corporate / M&A lawyer and her experience with shareholder disputes, management liability cases, post-M&A disputes and other contentious commercial matters. As a trained business mediator, Martina also advises clients on the extrajudicial settlement of conflicts and the avoidance of disputes at an early stage when negotiating and drafting contracts.
Prior to joining Orrick, Martina worked at the Munich office of a leading U.S. law firm and the Munich / New York City offices of a renowned German law firm.
Martina currently writes her doctoral thesis on a subject relating to management liability.

- Representation of an Asian client from the automotive industry in DIS arbitration proceedings initiated by the insolvency administrator of a German supplier;
- Representation of a German company operating in the real estate sector with the enforcement of compensation claims against a former business partner in state court proceedings;
- Representation of the German subsidiary of an Asian medical product manufacturer in management liability proceedings against its former managing director;
- Representation of the minority shareholders of a German Limited Partnership with the legal enforcement of information rights in state court proceedings;
- Representation of a former member of the management board of a German stock corporation to fend off claims for damages due to alleged breaches of duty in connection with a management buyout;
- Representation of an Asian automotive supplier in several DIS arbitration proceedings against a former business partner from Germany;
- Representation of the German subsidiary of a Chinese technology group against a German real estate company raising compensation claims in state court proceedings;
- Representation of an early-stage founder in a dispute with a former business partner.
M & A:
- Advising Fonds Finanz Maklerservice GmbH on majority investment by financial investor Hg;
- Advising Lilium GmbH on $ 3.3 Billion SPAC Merger with Quell Acquisition Corp.;
- Assistance in advising Healthcare at Home Group on the sale of its German and Austrian nursing operations to United Homecare Partners AG and its subsidiary United Pharma Partners GmbH;*
- Assistance in advising the shareholders of Mast Kunststoffe GmbH & Co. KG in the sale of the company to Precision Motors Deutsche Minebea GmbH;*
- Assistance in advising Silverfleet Capital and its portfolio company 7days on the acquisition of Praxis Herning A/S.*
