Julie develops and implements state legislative strategies to help companies solve their most complex legislative and regulatory challenges in the gaming, telecommunications, and energy industries.

As part of these strategies, Julie drafts and provides testimony, creates advocacy materials, and educates key stakeholders in the state legislature. In addition, Julie manages all aspects of the Public Policy Group’s multistate sports betting campaign.
Recent and representative engagements include the following:

  • Legalizing mobile sports betting on behalf of leading sports betting operators (FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, and BetFanatics) and professional sports leagues;
  • Advocating on behalf of DISH Network and DIRECTV to defeat anti-competitive satellite TV and over-the-top TV taxes;
  • Expanding clean energy reform on behalf of power generator, LS Power.
In addition, Julie maintains an active pro bono practice representing a coalition of youth sports programs seeking to fund underserved communities through mobile sports betting revenue. She also advocates for updates to coercion laws to account for modern forms of sexual extortion on behalf of a women’s legal defense organization.
