Orrick is advising Zephyr Partners on the redevelopment of San Diego’s long underserved Midway District, commonly referred to as the North Bay area. Zephyr Partners, alongside Legends Hospitality and Chelsea Investment Corporation, plans to revamp the 48.5-acre site by building 4,200 new apartments, 2,000 affordable homes, thousands of square feet of retail and commercial space, and redeveloping the Sports Arena into a state-of-the-art 16,000-seat stadium. The project is one of San Diego’s largest redevelopment projects to date and is projected to create 8,500 jobs and $7 billion in economic impacts to the region.

The Orrick real estate team, led by Randy Perry and assisted by Thayer Mullins, is advising the master developer on all aspects of the transaction, including multiple joint ventures, development contracts and construction contracts.
