Congratulations to Marco Nicolini on being recognized by the Associazione Nazionale Giovani Innovatori (ANGI), Italy’s national association for young innovators, for his contributions to promoting a culture of innovation in Italy. Marco was honored during ANGI’s annual awards ceremony, known as the “Oscars of Innovation,” held December 17 at the Italian Parliament’s Chamber of Deputies in Rome.
Through his participation with ANGI’s Scientific Committee, Marco works to showcase Italian entrepreneurship and lead young innovators to success. Next year, he’ll take part in an ANGI working group to promote synergies among companies, universities and other institutions, as well as generate legislative recommendations to support innovation and entrepreneurship in Italy.
As leader of Orrick’s Italian M&A and Private Equity team, Marco focuses his practice on corporate transactions and cross-border M&A, including most recently Coca-Cola’s agreement to acquire Acque Minerale and Sorgenia’s acquisition of the majority share capital of Universal Sun S.r.l.
Now in its second year, the ANGI National Awards recognize Italy’s most innovative startups and professionals across a range of categories. In addition to his individual recognition, Marco also handed out awards for innovation to Promoqui, a digital platform for searching local discounts and promotions, and Homepal, an online real estate agent for retail vendors and buyers.
