Doug Meal will be leading "How to Mitigate Evolving Litigation Risk in Privacy and Data Security: Lessons Learned from the Trenches," a panel discussion at Practising Law Institute's (PLI) Twenty-Third Annual Institute on Privacy and Cybersecurity Law. Doug and his fellow speakers will cover key topics, including:

• Privacy and data security litigation and settlement trends, and what the future holds
• Are regulator investigations and enforcement actions increasing (and in what areas)?
• Strategies for avoiding and defending litigation and enforcement actions

PLI's annual conference focuses on the latest developments with the goal of keeping attorneys and other privacy and cybersecurity professionals informed and up to date in this complex and dynamic area.

In collaboration with PLI, Doug also authored a chapter in PLI's Course Handbook that evaluated the impact of the Supreme Court's TransUnion LLC v. Ramirez ruling and Article III standing in data breach cases.
