Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe invites in-house counsel and executives to attend this complimentary one-day seminar, which will discuss the latest trends, developments, and advice for Taiwanese companies in a wide range of topics related to intellectual property, licensing, antitrust, arbitration, international trade and corporate issues. The program will cover these legal issues from the interdisciplinary and multijurisdictional perspective of leading practitioners in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

The first portion of the program will include the following topics:

  • Proving Obviousness in IPRs: Winning is in the Details
  • SEPs and FRAND: Preparing for FRAND arbitrations
  • FTC v. Qualcomm: Trial Insights and Likely Implications
  • IPRs and the Federal Circuit: Getting the Results You Deserve
A complimentary lunch will be served along with refreshments in the morning and afternoon sessions. Networking opportunities will be provided during a prolonged morning break, the lunch period, and the cocktail reception at the end of the program.

The second portion of the program will cover the following topics:

  • SEPs and FRAND: Latest Legal Developments
  • U.S.-China Trade War: Huawei, Sanctions, CFIUS and Tariffs
  • Emerging Trends: Legal and Business Issues that Arise in Cross-Border M&A Deals and Investments
  • Legal Implications for Artificial Intelligence
The afternoon will conclude with interactive town hall discussions where guests have the opportunity to meet our speakers, ask questions and network with other attendees in a small group environment. We encourage you to join at least one town hall, though you are welcomed to participate in other sessions as well.
