Orrick’s international Real Estate practice, which has a distinct focus on sophisticated real estate private equity and credit transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions and dispositions of large real estate portfolios, developments and complex finance and distressed debt transactions, will be represented by a global roster of lawyers from across our European and U.S. offices.

On Wednesday, March 13, we will be hosting a private party aboard the Sea Lion at Jetée Albert Edouard, and will also be setting up individual meetings throughout the conference.

Emanuela Molinaro Partner Real Estate, Real Estate Finance


Emanuela Molinaro is a partner at Orrick, based in the Milan office and member of the Real Estate group within the Finance team.

With a solid corporate background, she has advised on real estate aspects of a wide range of corporate transactions and has also gained significant experience in the area of real estate transactions and construction law, having assisted domestic and international investors in connection with various property and property-development transactions in Italy, including the disposal of complex real estate portfolios, sale and lease-back transactions, land acquisition and building redevelopment.

Emanuela is ranked in Chambers & Partners since many years in Band 3 for Real Estate with the comment: 'Emanuela Molinaro is widely appreciated for her "practical solutions." She acts for both domestic and international clients on the full spectrum of real estate issues.'

She has also a considerable experience in advising on a wide range of corporate transactions also with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate finance transactions and on-going assistance to corporate clients as well as financial institutions.

Dr. Felix Schäfer Counsel Real Estate


Dr. Hans Felix Schäfer, Counsel in Orrick's Düsseldorf office, is a member of the Real Estate Group.

Felix has particular experience in the infrastructure and logistics sectors, where he has been focused on real estate transactions, structuring of real estate investments, fund counseling and private equity as well as restructuring of real estate financings. He has also advised on a series of diverse large scale project developments as well as (portfolio) transactions for German and international clients.

Felix previously worked at international law firms Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and DLA Piper UK LLP. He served as inhouse counsel with ProLogis Germany Management GmbH and spent two years with HFK Law Offices. Most recently, he was an associated partner with independent German law firm Graf von Westphalen.

Felix attended the University of Cologne, where he received his doctorate degree. He has been acknowledged as "frequently recommended" in the field of Real Estate by JUVE Handbook of German Law Firms (2012/2013) and is member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Marshall Brozost Partner Real Estate, Real Estate Investment Funds

New York

Marshall Brozost is a Real Estate lawyer in Orrick’s New York office and serves as head of the New York Real Estate Group.

He focuses on complex real estate transactions on behalf of institutional and private equity investors. In addition, his practice encompasses all aspects of commercial real estate investment, from purchases and sales, formation of joint ventures and real estate funds to mortgage and mezzanine financing, REIT structuring, workouts and leasing. His clients include State Street Global Advisors, Phoenix Realty Group, Arel Capital and The Praedium Group, as well as other real estate private equity funds, investment advisers, domestic and foreign institutional investors, lenders and developers. He also advises on CMBS and merger and acquisition transactions.

Marshall is described by a client as “particularly knowledgeable, a great negotiator, excellent problem solver, and quick to turn documents all while maintaining a demeanor that is tough when it needs to be and pleasant when tough is not necessary.” Another remarked that his “humility in tandem with his calming yet commanding style enabled every interaction with a sometimes combative seller counsel to have a positive result.” Marshall has been recognized as a key lawyer in The Legal 500 US 2020-2021 Real Estate directories.

Marshall previously was a partner at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP and Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP.

Carine Mou Si Yan est associée au sein du groupe Banking and Finance. Depuis plus de quinze ans, elle conseille une clientèle française et internationale dans les secteurs de la finance, de l'énergie et de l'immobilier.

Avocat aux barreaux de Paris et de New York, Carine Mou Si Yan intervient sur des opérations transfrontalières et françaises.

Elle conseille les sponsors, prêteurs et entités publiques dans leurs opérations de financement. Elle est notamment active dans les projets liés au développement des énergies nouvelles et des infrastructures.

Elle intervient également en matière de financement immobilier portant sur une grande variété d’actifs tels que les logements d’habitation, hôtels, bureaux, commerces, data centers, infrastructures sportives ou hospitalières.

Patrick Tardivy Partner Fusions & Acquisitions, Private Equity


Patrick Tardivy est avocat associé en Fusions-acquisitions et Capital Investissement. Co-responsable du bureau de Paris, il est également le responsable mondial de la pratique M&A Private equity d’Orrick.

Patrick conseille des entreprises et investisseurs français et internationaux sur tous les aspects de droit des sociétés dans le cadre d’acquisitions, cessions, fusions, réorganisations, carve out ou alliances stratégiques.

Il intervient en particulier dans les secteurs de l’énergie et des infrastructures et des nouvelles technologies aux côtés de fonds d'investissements, groupes français ou étrangers, sur leurs opérations tant en France qu'à l'international. Il possède également une solide expérience en matière de M&A dans le secteur immobilier où il intervient sur des opérations de premier ordre.
