Managing Associate

Emma advises on the full asset lifecycle of large-scale energy and infrastructure projects. She helps clients navigate M&A, strategic disposals, joint ventures, government and regulatory matters, country entries and exits across Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Prior to joining Orrick Emma spent over two years as in-house legal counsel at Tullow Oil plc, where she was an advisor to the Non-Operated and Exploration business unit which managed the company's joint venture and government relationships across its portfolio of assets in Argentina, Côte d'Ivoire, Gabon, Guyana and Kenya. Her in-house experience gives her a practical, commercially minded perspective and an understanding of the operational realities facing energy companies.
Before her in-house role, Emma was an Associate in the London office of an international private practice law firm, where she gained experience across projects and construction, international trade, and commodity trading.
Emma has also advised on UK and EU ESG-related reporting and disclosure requirements for companies.
