Managing Associate
Tokyo
Shuto is a managing associate in Orrick’s Tokyo office and a member of the Employment Law Group and primarily advises on employment law advice as well as a broad range of general corporate matters.
He brings extensive experience from law firms in Tokyo as well as his role as an investigator at the Consumer Affairs Agency, enforcing the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations. He has handled a wide variety of matters for both Japanese and international corporate and individual clients. His work includes litigation, legal advisory, contract review, compliance investigations, and legal training, in both Japanese and English. He is also well-versed in cross-border matters, regularly collaborating with overseas counsel and advising on foreign law issues.
