Stefan Schultes-Schnitzlein is a German lawyer and tax advisor who primarily advises companies and their shareholders, private equity and venture capital funds, and family offices on transaction-related issues in tax law and accounting.
His focus is on corporate transactions and their financing, financial restructurings, as well as tax audits and tax litigation. The tax support of growth companies at all stages has become an increasingly larger part of his work in recent years. U.S. flips, management incentivization, financing rounds, and exits are just some of the areas in which Stefan has been active in the growth sector.
Stefan leads the German Orrick offices together with Christoph Brenner.

- Federal Republic of Germany in arbitration proceedings regarding the failed introduction of a car toll system on the defense of claims in the amount of over EUR 700 million
- US VC investor Coatue on the sale of the Berlin-based delivery company Gorillas Technologies
- Fonds Finanz Maklerservice, Germany's largest bancassurance broker pool, on the acquisition of 60% of the company's shares by financial investor Hg
- Fortino Capital Partners and the management on the sale of Symbioworld GmbH to Celonis
- HANNOVER Finanz portfolio company on the sale of the work platform manufacturer TEUPEN to Altec
- Symbio on the strategic growth investment by Fortino Capital, a European-based growth investor in B2B software
