Louis-Alexandre ("Louis") Cabanel is an attorney in Orrick's New York office and a member of the Structured Finance Group.
Louis represents issuers, sponsors and underwriters in public and private commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) offerings, including single-asset, single-borrower (SASB) and conduit securitizations. He also advises on other asset-backed securities transactions.
Louis received his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law, where he was a member of the Stetson Law Review and Stetson's Dispute Resolution Board, through which he competed in international commercial arbitration moot court competitions, including the Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot. He received his B.A. from McGill University.
