Orrick Advises Centerline Logistics on Its Acquisition of Saltchuk Marine Services’ California Ship Refueling Business

January.12.2021

A cross-practice Orrick team advised Centerline Logistics (formerly Harley Marine Services) on its acquisition of Saltchuk Marine Services’ California ship refueling business. The acquisition, which includes six bunker barges and certain established customer contracts, is expected to expand Centerline’s existing refueling operations in the California market substantially.

Centerline Logistics was founded in 1987 as an oil transportation business focused primarily on providing ship refueling and general petroleum transportation. Founded in 1889, Saltchuk Marine Services is wholly owned by Saltchuk, a privately owned family of diversified transportation and distribution companies headquartered in Seattle.

Our cross-practice team included lawyers from our Structured Finance, MAPE, Antitrust & Competition, White Collar, Compensation & Benefits and Tax teams, and was led by partners Leah Sanzari and David Schwartz. The team also included partners Amy Ray, John Narducci and Robert Stern and associates Elizabeth Elias, Ramy Shweiky, Keith Tidwell, David Gold, Jamie Kamen, among others.
