Congratulations to partner Lauri Damrell, who was appointed Friday to the Sacramento County Superior Court bench by California Gov. Jerry Brown.
A member of Orrick’s employment team, Lauri has been a leader in workplace, gender and pay equity issues in the state, including serving as co-chair with the state labor commissioner of the California Pay Equity Task Force. Gov. Brown also appointed her last year to the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls.
In addition, Lauri has advised the state Legislature on workplace sexual harassment prevention issues, recently testifying before an Assembly committee on the matter.
Lauri has been named to the Sacramento Business Journal’s Best of the Bar list for the local legal community, as well as the Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40 list. Lauri has been on Orrick teams advising major tech and financial institution clients such as Microsoft, Oracle, Morgan Stanley and Bank of America.
