Orrick partner Lauri Damrell collaborated with California Labor Commissioner Julie Su on a recent Op Ed column for the San Jose Mercury News outlining efforts in California to address the pay equity gap. Damrell and Su are both members of The California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, and their column discussed the recent launch of a Pay Equity Task Force to encourage more cooperation between employers and employees in finding solutions to the high-profile issue.
Lauri, a member of our Employment Law Group in the Sacramento office, has been on the commission since 2014 and is part of Orrick’s expanding leadership role on workforce diversity issues. The column can be read here.
