Pat Gillette Discusses Handling Employment Claims by Pro Se Plaintiffs

Employment law partner Patricia Gillette was quoted in an article about how to handle employment claims brought by pro se plaintiffs. Defense attorneys must take care in handling such cases and avoid looking like a bully in the court’s eyes.

Ms. Gillette said that she likes to approach the pro se litigant and talk through the case. "In my opinion, you want to get the case into a position where you can bring in some type of third party, either a mediator or a settlement judge," she added.
