Marc Levinson Discusses Resumption of City of Stockton’s Bankruptcy Trial

Restructuring partner Marc Levinson recently spoke with the Stockton Record about the resumption of the City of Stockton’s bankruptcy trial on July 8, 2014 after more than a one-month break.

Mr. Levinson, who is the lead attorney representing the City in its restructuring, said he believes the court will first set a value for the collateral the city used to secure a loan from the one remaining creditor with which it has yet to reach a negotiated settlement.  The City will then submit a modified plan of adjustment to the court.

"The city is proceeding to prepare for confirmation of the plan," Mr. Levinson said.
