Employment Partner Discusses Best Practices for Performance Reviews


Labor and employment partner Joe Liburt recently discussed best practices for conducting employee performance reviews with Law360.

“It is really important that managers do the unpleasant work of documenting things that the employee is not doing well because otherwise, in litigation, if it is not there, the employee is going to say that you're lying,” Liburt said.

He also noted that, “When you have people who are doing the same job, you of course want to evaluate them on the same criteria using the same scale.”
