Alexander focuses on advising on cross-border M&A transactions and has extensive experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

He advises utilities, industrial companies and investors in connection with the energy transition, in particular with regard to offshore and onshore wind power, photovoltaics and electromobility.

In this context, Alexander is also experienced in providing strategic advice on energy regulatory issues and has represented clients before authorities as well as in court proceedings.

As part of a secondment, Alexander worked for one of Germany's leading private equity investors.

Alexander is recommended by Legal 500 Germany for the area of energy transactions (2023).

    • Marquardt & Bahls on the envisaged formation of a joint venture in relation to PV rooftop installations and vehicle charging infrastructure*
    • Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) on its €1,4B acquisition of a 50% interest in the Borssele 1 & 2 offshore wind farm in the Netherlands*
    • RWE Renewables GmbH on a joint venture with Northland Power Inc. (NPI) to co-develop a 1.3 gigawatts cluster of offshore wind farms in the German North Sea*
    • Shell on the acquisition of a PV pipeline with a total capacity of 500 MW*
    • Swiss Life Asset Management AG on the establishment of a joint venture with B Capital Partners AG for the joint creation of a platform of battery storage projects*
    • Shell on its agreement to acquire German sustainable mobility solutions provider SBRS GmbH from Schaltbau Holding AG*
    • Statkraft on the acquisition of the Breeze Three wind portfolio comprising 42 onshore wind farms in Germany and France with a total capacity of over 350MW*
