Helen Aki Senior Associate

Jesse Paul Albani Senior Associate

Jesse regularly serves as bond counsel for multifamily housing, student housing and waste-to-energy facility financings. His recent experience includes the development and implementation of a successful tax-exempt financing program for the creation and preservation of affordable housing for middle-income families and individuals across California. In addition, Jesse frequently assists issuers, underwriters and developers with the structuring and financing of nonprofit and general governmental transactions throughout the United States.

William Alderman Senior Counsel

Bill is additionally recognized for the results he has obtained in insurance coverage, employee benefits, and federal and state antitrust disputes. He commits a substantial part of his time to pro bono representation and to representation of the firm.

Representing clients in class and derivative actions, Bill's approach is to minimize his clients’ overall cost through careful strategic planning, dispositive motions and aggressive negotiation. Only three of the many securities class actions he has defended have resulted in any settlement payment by his client or its carrier. Of his nearly 100 motions to dismiss securities class, mass or derivative actions since 1996, more than 90 percent were granted in their entirety (most with prejudice), while others were granted in part or led to a successful motion for summary judgment.

Patricia E. Anglin Of Counsel

Before joining the firm, Patricia acted as Senior Manager of National Employee Benefits at Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and formerly served as Senior Counsel-Benefits and Executive Compensation at AirTouch Communications, Inc. (now Vodafone).

Patricia also acted as Legislation Counsel on the Joint Committee on Taxation within the United States Congress working extensively on the Clinton health care proposal and other benefits legislation. Prior to the Joint Committee, Patricia was an associate at Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro (now Pillsbury Winthrop).
