Harriet acts for clients in complex, high-value international arbitration and commercial litigation across the energy, infrastructure and technology fields.

In addition to her core experience in ICC and LCIA arbitrations representing clients in the oil and gas, technology and airline industries, Harriet also has experience acting in sports-related arbitrations and representing clients in English High Court and Court of Appeal litigation and enforcement proceedings.

    • Advising a sovereign corporation in the renegotiation of a multi-billion dollar commercial contract successfully leading to an outcome valued at over US$2 billion.
    • Acting for a claimant European utility company in a US$200 million New York ICC commercial arbitration under New York law relating to a long-term gas supply agreement.
    • Acting for a respondent Italian utility company in a London ICC gas price review arbitration under English law successfully defeating a multi-million euro price review claim.
    • Acting for a respondent technology company in a multi-million dollar London LCIA arbitration under English law involving issues of contract law and shareholder rights.
    • Acting for an international airline in enforcement and asset preservation proceedings relating to prior arbitral awards.
    • Acting for a Championship football club in disciplinary and arbitral proceedings under the EFL Regulations in relation to proceedings brought by the regulator under the Profitability & Sustainability Rules, involving issues of complex property law and the application of sporting sanctions.
    • Acting for a defendant legal services company in mediation proceedings involving claims for breach of contract under an investment agreement and related misconduct claims.
    • Acting for defendant major UK supermarket group in high profile equal pay proceedings.
    • Acting, as co-counsel, for a respondent Mongolian construction company in Munich SCAI arbitration under Mongolian law involving issues of contract and property law.
    • Acting for defendants in high-profile Commercial Court proceedings brought by one of the world's largest exporters in natural gas in relation to a long-term supply contract and dealing with issues of European Union law.
    • Acting for a Premier League football club in a dispute with a sports intermediary in relation to a claim for breach of contract and quantum meruit, involving issues of contractual interpretation, authority, agency and effective cause and achieving successful settlement.
    • Acting for two defendant international airlines in Court of Appeal proceedings arising out of an adverse decision from the European Commission in the air cargo sector.
