Fireworks AI Closes Over $1.5 Billion in Series D Funding

Fireworks AI, an AI inference cloud and infrastructure platform enabling enterprises to build generative AI capabilities at scale, has raised $1.505 billion in a Series D financing at a $17.5 billion post-money valuation.

The round was led by Atreides Management, Index Ventures, and TCV, with participation from Evantic Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Nvidia, 20VC, Bessemer Venture Partners, Menlo Ventures, and others.

Orrick advised Fireworks AI and has represented the company since its formation.

THE COMPANY

Fireworks AI offers a generative AI platform-as-a-service (PaaS), giving teams access to hundreds of leading open-source AI models and fine-tuning tools to build, deploy, and scale AI applications on their own terms. As customers engage with these applications, new data continuously improves performance.

THE IMPACT

This funding lets Fireworks AI expand their compute infrastructure, grow their engineering team, and continue building the platform that helps companies own the intelligence powering their products and operations.
