Orrick's Total Access Japan Event Series provides entrepreneurs business, tactical, and legal education through complimentary panels and seminars and networking events.

Orrick represents over 1600 start-ups in the US, Japan, China and Europe, and has been witnessing many start-ups getting caught in traps. Additionally, start-ups are confronted to similar challenges worldwide; in this session, Orrick Tokyo bengoshi Hiroki Sugita and Sakon Kuramoto will explain major legal issues start-ups tend to face, with the special participation of Yuta Endo, founding members FogHorn, company based in Silicon Valley, who will share his own experiences. Moreover, two systems that are useful when launching a new business in Japan will be introduced: "System to Remove Gray Zone Areas" which can eliminate concerns about applicable laws and "System of Special Arrangements for Corporate Field Tests" which is a system that allows special measures unique to each company. The presentation will be in Japanese with bilingual slides available (English and Japanese).

Special Guest: Yuta Endo
Yuta heads APAC Operations and Business Development at FogHorn Systems and is one of the original members of the FogHorn team. He has a deep understanding of Industrial IoT and Fog Computing across many different industrial and commercial verticals and is an experienced business development manager who established many key relationships with global industrial companies. Prior to joining FogHorn, Yuta worked at Cisco Systems where he bootstrapped the new IoT Division by leading product management and strategic industrial partner relationships to drive the company’s industrial IoT vision, strategy, and execution from 2011-2014. Before he co-founded the IoT Division, Yuta served as Senior Manager of Product Management responsible for Cisco’s core enterprise portfolio.
