Sven advises technology companies on complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and venture capital as well as growth investments, and provides general corporate counseling.

His clients include technology companies of all stages and their investors. Supported by a global and cross-practice team, he also counsels major corporations and scale-ups on international expansion and growth projects and has a special focus on in- and outbound German/US investments and joint ventures.

Sven is passionate about building a bridge for his clients from Germany to the US and other international technology hubs and to help them succeed in the international market. With a dual background in business and law, an entrepreneurial spirit, and experience in over 300 M&A transactions and financing rounds across many industries, Sven has a unique perspective, which inspires him to find the best strategic and commercially viable solution for his clients.

Sven volunteers with entrepreneur groups at the WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management and the RWTH Aachen and regularly lectures at the WHU and the RWTH incubation and innovation centers on venture capital financings, start-up growth and corporate venture capital.

Chris advises companies in venture capital transactions, public offerings and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. He also advises high-growth companies, investment banks, and venture capital firms on fundraising, international business operations and transactions.

As noted in the engagements below, Chris works closely with those powering the next generation of technology, from revolutionary AI companies to influential investors. His track-record and industry-wide reputation were noted in the most recent Legal 500 edition, which describes Chris as “excellent,” accompanied with a band 1 ranking in venture capital investment by Chambers and Partners 2021.

Gregg represents companies in all stages of their life cycles, from start-ups to public companies, and in a variety of industries including, software, hardware, information services, financial services, financial technology, consumer goods, fashion, media, energy, medical devices and pharmaceuticals. He advises these companies in many aspects of their businesses including financings, corporate governance, employment matters, acquisitions, divestitures, licensing and distribution arrangements, and joint ventures and strategic partnerships.

Gregg also represents venture capital firms in their formation, fundraising efforts and maintenance, as well as in their investments in early and later stage operating companies and in complex leveraged transactions and restructurings. Gregg has worked with a number of leading technology and life science companies in connection with their initial and follow-on public offerings, M&A activities and leading investment banks in their underwriting of public equity and debt offerings.

Anik Guha 合伙人

Anik has represented leading tech companies across industries ranging from enterprise software and AI to fintech, energy tech, mental health and others, including Betterment, Confluent, Convoy, Fireworks, HashiCorp, Inspire Energy, Mux, Pinterest, Sourcegraph and Two Chairs. Selected clients that Anik has advised from the earliest stages through acquisition include Connectifier (sold to LinkedIn), Cove (sold to Dropbox), Expanse (sold to Palo Alto Networks), Nest (sold to Google) and Yammer (sold to Microsoft).  

More recently, Anik has followed his clients’ example and is focused on applying technological innovation to legal work and client service. Beyond his home office in San Francisco, Anik helped open Orrick’s Santa Monica office as well as a workspace in Oakland to better serve clients located in the East Bay.

A native Ohioan and former New Yorker, Anik lives with his family in Berkeley.

Adele Harrison 高级律师

Adele has advised clients on a wide range of cybersecurity and data privacy matters.  Adele has a particular interest in online safety requirements for companies and has advised clients in relation to the Age Appropriate Design Code, Video Sharing Platforms requirements and the Online Safety Bill. 

Before joining Orrick, Adele worked for two years on a global investigation into allegations of fraud, bribery and corruption, resulting in settlements with the UK Serious Fraud Office, French Parquet National Financier, U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Department of State.

Prior to her work in private practice, Adele practiced at the independent Bar for five years. She has experience in prosecuting and defending in a wide range of criminal law cases and has developed a practice focusing on fraud, white collar crime and regulatory law.  Adele has conducted secondments with the Serious Fraud Office and Crown Prosecution Service on high profile banking fraud cases, as well as internships with the International Criminal Court and the New York State Division of Human Rights.

Adele has obtained the Certified Information Privacy Professional - Europe (CIPP/E) designation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
