Stephanie Fishman

Drawing on her federal government experience and technical background in nuclear engineering, Stephanie helps clients navigate the regulatory, commercial, and strategic challenges of developing and deploying nuclear energy projects.

Her practice spans the full lifecycle of nuclear projects—from early-stage development and licensing through financing, construction, fuel procurement, commercial contracting, and operation. She represents clients before the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) on complex licensing, compliance, enforcement, and policy matters, while also advising on the commercial arrangements and transactions necessary to bring projects to market. Her work covers the full spectrum of nuclear technologies, including the existing fleet, advanced reactors and microreactors, nuclear fuel and fusion, as well as investments and transactions across the nuclear sector.

Stephanie also advises on broader energy matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), including issues involving grid reliability, resilience, energy infrastructure, and the rapidly evolving demands of large energy users.

Before entering private practice, Stephanie worked for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency at the Department of Defense managing international nuclear security contracts and previously served as an analyst with the Central Intelligence Agency. She also clerked for the NRC’s Atomic Safety & Licensing Board Panel.
