Our lawyers are routinely called on to provide counsel on greenfield project development and transaction structures. In California, the heart of the U.S. renewables market, in the past three years we represented over 30 different bidders before the state utilities’ solicitations for new renewables projects, including on more than 150 bids for new renewables projects, totaling many thousands of megawatts. We also represent leading developers on synthetic/virtual corporate PPAs, military project development, offtake hedges, permitting, real estate entitlements, EPC, O&M, transmission and interconnection, and all other aspects of renewables project development.

Infracapital’s greenfield platform on its investment in Bioenergy Infrastructure Limited (“BIG”). Created to address the need for renewably sourced, reliable power generation, BIG will invest in the construction of biomass and energy-from-waste plants in the U.K. and will acquire such plants once constructed.
The Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on the construction of the 4,800 MW hydro project Inga 3. This project is the first phase of a 40,000 MW continental project (Grand Inga Dam), the largest energy project in the world.
Terraform in the $2 billion purchase of seven contracted wind farms (total 930 MW) located in the U.S. and Canada, from Invenergy Wind LLC, the largest independent wind owner in the U.S.
