Resurrect Bio Raises $8 Million in Series A Round to Advance Sustainable Crop Protection

Resurrect Bio, a venture-backed plant biotechnology company, has made an initial close of over $8 million in its Series A financing round.

Orrick advised Resurrect Bio on the transaction.

THE COMPANY

Resurrect Bio is working to make crops resistant to disease using gene editing, to enable the world’s farmers to increase food production, reduce land for agriculture and help mitigate climate change.

THE IMPACT

With this investment, Resurrect Bio will be able to ramp up production of its in-house crop protection traits and take its computational protein-protein interaction screening tool, FloraFold AI, to the next level.
