Orrick advised SRECTrade in connection with its sale to Xpansiv, a global leader for ESG-inclusive commodities. The transaction will combine SRECTrade’s technology platform in clean energy assets, including solar Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) and Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) markets to accelerate clean energy growth across Xpansiv’s existing markets.
SRECTrade manages 870 MW of renewable energy across the United States and is the largest independent manager of EV charging station carbon credits across more than 5,000 generating assets. SRECTrade’s clients cover all market participants including competitive electricity and fuel suppliers, utilities, clean transportation fleet operators, project developers, financing companies, EV charging networks, installation firms and commercial, industrial & residential asset owners. The merger will advance both joint missions to promote the adoption of clean energy and a net-zero future.
