Orrick advised the financial services firm Gulf Islamic Investments LLC (GII) on the acquisition of an office building in White Plains, Westchester County, New York on behalf of its investors.

The property is a class A office building and sits within the urban center of White Plains. It is strategically located close to the Federal, Supreme, District and County courthouses and therefore the preferred destination for government-affiliated and law-related tenants.

GII is a UAE-based financial services company regulated by the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA). The firm advises private equity, venture capital, infrastructure and real estate investments globally.

GII was advised by a cross border Orrick team led by Düsseldorf-based M&A and private equity partner Oliver Duys, who had already advised GII on other investments, as well as by the New York-based real estate partner Marshall Brozost and London-based banking and finance partner Dominic O'Brien.

The team also included partner Alykhan A. Shivji (real estate, New York) and counsel Abhijit Narayan (M&A and private equity, Düsseldorf).
