Orrick Advises TotalEnergies on Joint Venture to Accelerate Deployment of Offshore Wind in the U.S.

Orrick advised TotalEnergies in connection with the formation of a joint venture with Simply Blue Group, a pioneer in floating offshore wind, for the development of floating offshore wind projects in the United States. The joint venture will combine TotalEnergies’ expertise in large-scale offshore projects and Simply Blue Group’s floating offshore wind know-how. The joint venture aims to unlock vast ocean tracts for renewable energy generation where traditional fixed-foundation turbines are not feasible – estimated as the majority of U.S. offshore wind resources.
