The American Lawyer Highlights How Orrick Associates are Innovating

June.28.2019

A year into Orrick's initiative to give associates 50 hours annually to innovate, The American Lawyer reports on the results. The story describes how one associate, Nick Farnsworth, helped develop an online readiness tool for clients to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act and another, Rebecca Harlow, collaborated with our Chief Innovation Officer Wendy Curtis to lead an "innovation sprint" for a global energy company's legal department.

As Chief Talent Officer Siobhan Handley said to AmLaw, the goal of the program is to instill the mindset that innovation – and the "crazy ideas and failures" that come with innovating – should be part of our "everyday approach" to adding value for our clients.
